We hope to answer most questions here. If not, please just ask at the reception desk.

When can I check in?

Gladly from 3 pm. We can of course store your luggage in advance.

Is there an elevator?

In our hotel, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator or passenger lift.

By when do I have to leave the room?

We ask that the room is handed over to us by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure so that our housekeeping team can prepare the rooms for the new guests.

Can I keep the luggage in the hotel for a while?

It goes without saying. The luggage is in good hands in our boot. However, we ask that you collect your luggage by the end of reception on the same day.

Where can I park my car?

The nearest parking facilities are the parking garages in "Salzstadelgasse", "Neue Straße" or "Rosengasse". . All parking garages are located approx. 300m from the hotel. However, you can drive up to the hotel for loading and unloading. We ask for your understanding that access is not possible on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 6 am and 3 pm due to the weekly market. In addition, there are events on Münsterplatz throughout the year.

Is there free wifi?

Yes, there is. You can get the password at the hotel.

Are there rooms for allergy sufferers?

No, our rooms have been renovated to the latest standards, but due to the structural nature of the building, we have opted for carpeting throughout the hotel. However, all bedding, towels etc. are suitable for allergy sufferers.

What do I do if I want to arrive outside the check-in times?

We kindly ask you to inform us about this on the day of arrival at the latest during our reception hours. A phone call or email is sufficient. We will then leave the room key in the key safe at the main entrance: The code will be sent to you by email or SMS.

We are a non-smoking hotel

Smoking is not permitted in the entire hotel. We ask that you use the terrace on the 1st floor for smoking. In case of non-compliance with our Non-Smoking Policy, we must point out that a special cleaning of the room will be charged additionally with
100 Euro.

What are the opening hours of the reception?

We are open from monday to saturday from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm.
On public holidays and sundays from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

Is an early check-in possible?

We only offer check-in before 3 p.m. subject to availability from 9 a.m. and an additional flat rate of 35 euros. If an even earlier check-in is desired, we recommend making an additional reservation for the previous night. We kindly ask you to inform us of your desired early check-in when making your reservation. However, this must be confirmed by us.

Is there a late check-out possible?

It is possible to use the room until 4 pm maximum, subject to availability. We charge an additional 35 euros for this.

Do I pay my bill in advance?

Payment at check-in serves, among other things, to avoid unnecessary waiting times at check-out. Thus, only the key has to be handed in on the day of departure.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Payment is only possible by card, we accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Girocard and Maestro. Cash payments are not possible.

Do not disturb sign

If the sign is hanging on the door handle, then we are not disturbing! However, on the day of departure we still ask you to leave the room by 10.30 a.m. so that we can prepare the room for the new guests.

Rent a bike

We have several rental bikes in the house. Please inform us in good time so that we can reserve them right away. Our stylish bikes are especially popular in the summer months.

What time will breakfast be served?

We look forward to welcoming everyone for breakfast from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. On Sundays and public holidays we offer our breakfast buffet from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. For breakfast we charge 14 euros per day (from 01.01.2024) and person, children under 6 years have breakfast for free. For children over 6 years we charge the normal price. If someone would like to have breakfast before this time, please let us know and we will find a solution.

Is there a gluten-free/vegan breakfast?

Of course there is. However, for the sake of organisation, we appreciate it very much if we are already informed about this when you make your reservation.

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

No, unfortunately not. As our hotel extends from the 1st to the 4th floor, we are unfortunately unable to offer a room suitable for the disabled due to the lack of a lift. Unfortunately, it was not possible to install a lift.

How far is it from the main station to the hotel?

It is approx. 850m to us. Please just follow the shopping mile "Hirschstraße". When you reach Münsterplatz, we are on the left hand side of Ulm Cathedral. For guests with a lot of luggage we recommend a taxi 0731-66066 (approx. 10 Euro).

Something does not meet my expectations:

If something is not right, we are happy to be asked about it. This is the only way we can change things. Later complaints, which are often made via the relevant booking portals and are usually made anonymously, we consider to be an unfair procedure, because then we are practically powerless in handling and making amends.

Can my children sleep free of charge in the hotel?

Children sleep free of charge in their parents' bed until the age of 5. From the age of 6 we charge the full price. Of course, we provide a baby cot for 15 euros on request. Extra beds are charged at 35 euros per night excl. breakfast.

How often do the bells of Ulm Cathedral ring?

Often! Well, this is where opinions differ. We at least love the ringing of our big brother's bells every 1/4 hour. Because of the hotel's location and distance from the cathedral (50m), you will always hear the bells. The name of our hotel should at least indicate that we cannot guarantee the peace of the forest :-)

Where can I park my bike?

We have a bicycle garage directly at the hotel for your tired bikes. It is at ground level, lockable and video-monitored. There are also plenty of power sockets for the empty batteries for e-bikes.

Where is the nearest pharmacy?

Mohren Apotheke, Münsterplatz 37, just opposite our hotel.

Can I bring my pet with me?

Pets are not allowed in our hotel.

Why do room rates vary?

We have daily updated room rates.

Deposit suitcases and co. during the stay?

If the train doesn't leave until the afternoon or the day is too beautiful to leave Ulm, then the luggage can of course still be deposited with us. All we ask is that you collect it by the end of reception time.

I forgot my charging cable and adapter!

In our "cable box" you will find a large selection of electronic accessories - surely you will find the right one for you!

10. can you smoke in the room?

No, smoking is not permitted in the entire hotel. We kindly ask you to use the terrace on the 1st floor for this purpose. If you do not comply with our Non-Smoking Policy, we must point out that a special cleaning of the corresponding room will be charged with an additional 100 euros.

11. what are the laptop connections in the room ?

You have the possibility to surf for free via our Free Guest Wifi. It is also possible to borrow an HDMI cable at the reception. This allows you to connect your laptop to the flat screen TV in your room.

12. what time will breakfast be served ?

We are happy to welcome you for breakfast in the morning from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. On sundays and public holidays we offer our breakfast buffet from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. If you would like to have breakfast before this time, please let us know and we will find a solution.

13. is there a hotel bar ?

No, we have a self service fridge available on the first floor. You can find our favourite bars in the "Restaurants" section

14. where can I park my bike ?

We have a bicycle garage directly at the hotel for your tired bike. This is at ground level, lockable and video-monitored. For the empty batteries of the e-bikes, sufficient sockets are also provided.

The nearest parking facilities are the multi-storey car parks in "Salzstadelgasse", "Neue Straße" or "Rosengasse". The daily maximum rate is 14 euros and is valid until 7 pm. From 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. the night tariff applies. This is 3 euros. All car parks are located approx. 300m from the hotel. However, you can drive up to the hotel to load and unload. Please understand that access is not possible on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 6 am and 3 pm due to the weekly market. In addition, events are to be expected on Münsterplatz throughout the year.

We prefer cash, as this is the fastest and most uncomplicated means of payment. However, we also accept EC cards, Maestro, Mastercard and Visa.

It is approx. 850m to us. Please follow the shopping mile "Hirschstraße". When you reach Münsterplatz, we are on the left hand side of Ulm Cathedral. If you have a lot of luggage, we recommend a taxi 0731-66066

We are happy if you would like to have breakfast in company and invite family, friends who are visiting you in Ulm. We charge 14 euros per person for the breakfast buffet for our external guests.

25 Something does not meet my expectations, what to do ?

If you are ever not satisfied with us, please come and talk to us directly. This is the only way we can make you happy. Later complaints, which are often made via the relevant booking portals and are usually made anonymously, we consider to be unfair. Because then we are practically powerless in handling and making amends.

26. can I pay my bill in advance ?

Of course. We are even happy about it. After all, it saves you time on the day of departure, especially because the train and the plane are not waiting.

27. what is the difference between the standard rate and the non-refundable rate ?

You will find the necessary explanations for this under the heading "Room rates".

28. why is an advance payment required for some reservations ?

The advance payment is only the case for the "non-refundable rate". Here we reserve the right to charge the indicated credit card with the total amount of the reservation price after receipt of your reservation.

29. may i bring my pet ?

No, pets are not allowed in our hotel.

30. do my children sleep free of charge in the hotel ?

Your children sleep free of charge in their parents' bed until the age of 5. From the age of 6 we charge the full price. Of course, we will provide you with a baby cot on request for 15 euros per day. Extra beds are charged at 35 euros excl. breakfast.

What do I have to see while I'm in Ulm?

There is a lot there!!! Ulm Cathedral, the beautiful fishermen's quarter, the banks of the Danube, the small alleys around the Cathedral, the town hall etc., the Friedrichsau. We have many tips for excursions and flyers of Ulm's sights at the reception. Just come to us, we are sure to have nice ideas for you.

In spring and summer you have the possibility to relax on our terraces and in the courtyard and enjoy a glass of wine, beer or iced tea.

35 Do not disturb sign

We speak German, English, Italian, Romanian, Russian, Croatian and Spanish.

They are ready for you in the bathroom. Your towel on the hook or bar means: I'll keep using it! On the floor means: Please bring me fresh towels.

42. ATM - bank

You will find the following ATMs near our hotel. Sparkasse at Hans und Sophie Scholl Platz. Deutsche Bank at Münsterlatz. Volksbank-Raifeisenbank in Hirschstraße. Spardabank in the Platzgasse. Postbank at Bahnhofsplatz (main station). We ask for your understanding that a cash withdrawal using your credit card cannot take place in our house.

43.Mailbox - stamps

You are welcome to hand over your letters, postcards to us. We will take everything to the post office for you.

44. rent bicycles

We have several rental bikes in the house. Please inform us in good time. Especially in the summer months they are very popular. We charge a fee of 10 euros per day and bike for renting.
